Shopping handmade can lead to cravings for tasty, hearty snacks. Good thing Art Providence Holiday Show organizers have added local food favorites to the menu.

For an additional $7, general admission ticket holders can purchase a food ticket and gain access to a food sampling area on the show floor featuring Ming’s, Fancheezical, Tom’s Bao Bao and Kraev from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, December 8 & 9 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

Kow Kow will serve its delicious dessert samples on Saturday afternoon only.

A complimentary food ticket is included in the VIP All-Weekend Access package.

“Making good food is an art form,” notes Laura Burket, owner/operator of ArtSmart Productions, the show’s producer. “And it’s nice to have options at the ready when you are shopping a show that includes nearly 200 artists, makers and designers. You need a break - our local food favorites area is the perfect spot to recharge.”

Located in the back right corner of Hall C near the cash bar, food vendors will be serving up some terrific options, including breakfast tacos, homemade pop-tarts, Korean bulgogi cheesesteak sliders, old school grilled cheese sandwiches, mini baos and pan fried dumplings and fresh-made ice cream bubble waffles.

Tables and general seating are provided. Drinks are available at the cash bar, including wine, beer, soda and water. VIP’s can take their plates to the nearby VIP Suite and enjoy the additional comforts of secure bag and coat check, free neck massage from Evolve Apothecary and soft seating.

“With your food ticket you can get a sample from each vendor,” adds Burkett. “I would recommend trying them all.”

General admission into the Art Providence Holiday Show is $8.50 per adult per day. Children 12 and under get in free. Food tickets for the kids are just $5.
